Coffee Break for Your Soul

Take a coffee break for your soul.
Just like your morning cup brings calm and energy, these sessions are your chance to pause, reset, and refill. Caring for yourself doesn’t have to be complicated — sometimes it starts with a deep breath and a warm sip.

The Heart of My Mission Why I Created Caring with Karen

Life doesn’t come with a manual, especially when you’re caring for others while trying to hold yourself together. That’s why I created Caring with Karen — a space where caregivers, nursing students, and anyone navigating stress can find real guidance, real heart, and real results.

With over 23 years as a nurse and a lifetime of caregiving, I understand the exhaustion, the guilt, and the quiet strength it takes to keep showing up. Here, you’ll find encouragement, practical tools, and simple strategies to help you breathe easier and feel more like yourself again.

My Mission and Promise The Values Behind It All

I’ve walked beside patients and families through some of their hardest days, and I’ve lived the reality of caregiving in my own family too. I’ve seen the exhaustion, the guilt, the loneliness — and the quiet strength it takes just to keep going.

Somewhere along the way, I realized this truth: the people who give the most care often receive the least. Caregivers pour themselves out for others but rarely pause to refill their own cup. I knew that had to change.

That’s why I created Caring with Karen. This isn’t just a business — it’s my heart’s mission. A place where caregivers, nursing students, CNAs, and anyone carrying heavy responsibilities can find:

  • A safe space to breathe.

  • Practical tools to manage stress and boundaries

  • Encouragement to rediscover joy and purpose

I started Caring with Karen because I’ve been where you are. I know what it feels like to be stretched thin, to wonder if you’re enough, and to need someone in your corner. My mission is simple: to remind you that you matter too.

You can’t pour from an empty cup — but you can refill it. Caring for yourself isn’t selfish; it’s the fuel that lets you keep showing up with love and strength. Every deep breath, every small boundary, every moment of calm you choose is an act of courage.

You deserve that care, too.
